| October 12, 2007 - Friday | Refreshed!! Current mood: refreshed Okay, so after my church that I loved so much no longer exists, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find another one that I was as happy with, or one that God wanted me to be at. Well I had been praying hard about it, hoping that God would just plain out tell me where He wanted me to be. Ha! That didn't happen, however, He has brought us back to a church we once visited and now I don't want to miss a Sunday!!! Everytime I used to go to other churches, other than my own, I would always, not meaning to, compare them to MY church!!! And it always felt so good to go back to mine. Well, this has not been the case at all. I have only been going here about a month and it's like each Sunday we are drawn to keep coming back!! I love both the worship and the message, and both are VERY important to me, so I wanted to find a church with good worship and a good message! This has both. God's presence is so real in this place! The pastor took us to lunch one Sunday after church and just got to know us better and where are hearts were. I told him that I really had a heart for worship and if there was any room for me on the worship team, I would love to be a part of it! So, I had my first worship practice last night and it was AWESOME!!!!! We opened it up with prayer, which I think is very important and makes it that much more powerful! Then we worked on what we are doing on Sunday and we are going to start our music for Christmas next week! It was a great practice and EVERYONE was so welcoming! I love it how we go to practice, and it's not just practice, it's entering into His presence! You can see the joy in everyone's heart and it's beautiful!! We concluded in a circle holding hands where each of us prayed and it was just a togetherness that was really awesome!! I know and feel in my heart that God is doing awesome things at this church, and I'm so glad that he's placed me to be a part of it. Thank you Jesus for knowing my way and showing me so clearly now where You want me to be! |

| Thursday, April 05, 2007 | I will try the Easter Bunny thing again!! I went on my lunch break to pick up Dylan and take him to the Easter Bunny at Tanglewood mall. So, I even take his picture from when he was a month old and when he was 14 months old so he can see that he has sat on the Easter Bunny's lap before, so it's not so bad!!! So I let him look at and hold the pictures on the way to the mall. I talk to him about it. When we got there, he kept saying "choo choo chain" "choo choo chain" and I was like no, honey, this one doesn't have the choo choo train like the other one. I was impressed that he even associated the 2 together! So we get to the mall and he sees the escalater. Well he LOVES the escalater so we have to ride up and down it one time. When we finally get to the Easter Bunny he took off toward him and then I got him back because I figured they didn't want us to just run on up there like that, rather stand at the entrance and wait until they call us! Well I should have just let him and maybe he would have sat on the bunny's lap b/c it took the girl like 15-20 minutes and finally she said "Are y'all waiting on me?" Hello!!! What do you think!!! Of course when I went up there he started screaming and crying. The Easter Bunny gave him coloring pages, but when I went to put Dylan on his lap, he started kicking and crying and that's all I need for him to kick and hurt the Easter Bunny! So, I am done!!!! I am so over this whole Easter Bunny thing and trying to get a picture so he'll have one for EVERY year. I'll just tell him the reason that he missed one when he was 2!! |

| | | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 | No Easter Bunny this Year!! The Easter Bunny didn't happen yesterday!!! I had a feeling Dylan would be like this, b/c he was scared with Santa but then they gave him a candy cane and he was fine. Shawn is really upset that we couldn't get a picture this year because we have one from EVERY year so far. I don't know if Dylan was petrified of him or what, but he screamed and cried and would not sit on his lap. We even watched some kids have their turn and see what he would do and he watched, but he would not sit on the bunny's lap!!!! So, then we were going to let him ride the train. I rode with him, and he didn't want to sit beside me, he was sitting in my lap and I just told them to go ahead and go that he would probably stop crying...NO!!! He screamed and cried the whole time!!! I don't know what was up with him yesterday. So when we got home I let him play in the sand box for an hour or so and then we went inside and colored Easter Eggs. That was a lot of fun with him this year, because I got the puffy paint ones and Shawn and I died the eggs and then let Dylan draw on them with the puffy paint and he had fun and did a really good job!! I'll post pictures soon! |

| I'm so crazy inlove with my little 2 year old, it's not even funny! He is at such a fun age right now! It seemed like once he turned 2, last month, he really started talking more and puting words together for sentences and it's so cool how I have just picked up and learned "his" vocabulary. I understand what he's trying to tell me even though his words aren't quite perfect yet! :) His very first sentence was... I want my ball, the way he said it, "I yant ma baw" I was so excited and then he said "I yant dat ball" He said "that" how in the world did he know how to use that word! Everyday he surprises me! He's really trying so hard to communicate with us. He's saying please and thank you again. "Pweee" and "dank do" When he doesn't see Shawn around, he says "Where Daddy go?" That is really clear!! He still calls our dog Aiya rather than her name, Kaiya. He gets the ka- sound for Kitty, and clock and coo coo, but he just doesn't do it with Kaiya. Last night he was asking me: "Where Pawpaw go?" "Where maw maw go?" "Where kitty go?" "Where Jojeph (Joseph) go?" "Where Jonjan (Jonathan) go?" It was so cute! Joseph and Jonathan are Dylan's uncles. He's said Joseph once before but never Jonathan. And then when he sees what he's looking for he says there he is "heir he is!" and gets all excited!! I can't write every little thing that he does on here because if I did it would be a very long novel!! These are just a few of the fun things he does. Yesterday when I dropped him off at the baby sitters, my friend Leah, who's son goes there too e-mailed me to tell me that when she dropped Tyler off, Dylan tried giving him a kiss and Tyler didn't want anything to do with Dylan so Dylan went over and kissed the other little boy, Brayden. Then he noticed that Tyler had on new shoes!! I just thought it was so funny! Oh, Dylan's coo coo clock goes off, and everytime he hears it, he goes into the doorway of his bedroom and counts how ever many coo coos it does but instead of the right numbers, he says "two three two three two three TWO!" and gets really excited. We count everytime it goes off to try and teach him the right numbers! For some reason when Shawn and I tuck Dylan in and kiss him goodnite, I'm always the last one out of Dylans room, like 10 minutes later...He's just so sweet I hate leaving him sometimes. And he's really lovable when he's ready for bed. I get soooo many kisses from him then. He just wants to kiss me over and over and over again and I love every minute of it! One night he kissed each of my cheeks and then my lips and last night he reached out for my face with his hand and pulled me to him to kiss me. It is just the most precious thing and I can't even begin to explain how it makes my heart just melt!!! I look forward to every single day with him and the new things that he does!!! He's amazing and the biggest blessing I could ever imagine! | | |
| Thursday, February 15, 2007 | Making me laugh!!!! Current mood: amused Dylan went into the kitchen tonight and was there like 5 minutes and was really quiet, so I knew that he was up to something. I went in there to check on him and he had colored (with blue crayon) all over my ceramic tile floor in the kitchen! He sure had a master piece in his eyes!!! Thank goodness it came right off though!! I am really trying to teach him what a "potty" is and what it's used for. I think he's grasping it, I just don't think he is quite ready to start going! Everytime we are in a bathroom, he'll point at the toilet and say "pee-pee" or "poo poo". And when he goes, he sometimes tells us, or if I smell that he is poopie, I will say, "Did you poo poo?" and he'll say back to me "I poo poo". Well the other day he ran off again for like 3 minutes and all the sudden started wimpering. I asked him to come here and what was wrong, but he just kept wimpering. Well when I went in there to get him, he was in the door way of our bedroom and the living room with his pants to his ankles and his diaper pulled down. He was wimpering because he couldn't walk with his pants at his ankles. And he looked at me and said "Yuck! I poo poo!". It was so funny, so I took him to the potty and tried to get him to sit on it. Of course he didn't like it too well. Today I bought him some big boy underwear. They are so cute. They're little toddler boxer briefs. I made Shawn take him to go potty with him and he went in there but wouldn't go potty. So we thought we would put on his big boy boxer briefs and they are big on him. The aren't tight on the thighes like they should be and he's walking around and all the sudden he sticks his hands in his underwear and is scratching around there and to my surprise, he just stars peeing everywhere and since the underwear is big around his legs, it just ran straight down his leg. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer, or maybe try pull ups! ;) |
